About Me
Born in a small mountain village on the east coast of Sicily; a place with fresh running spring water and panoramic views of a distant Mt Etna.
As a child, I immigrated with my family to Australia, where we settled in Sydney.
My interest and passion for the arts, led me to pursue studies in visual art, colour and design.
After a period of working in the colour & design industry, I was ready to use my experience in pursuit of my own personal creative endeavours.
I work intuitively, staying open to the gentle guidance from spirit, where music always accompanies my multi-layered painting process, over many weeks, to achieve the richness and depth of colour. My desire is for each painting or poetry piece to ignite a spark in the viewer’s heart, their inner sanctuary, and offer mindful reflection.
I am inspired by nature, it’s endless explosion of colours and combinations, beauty in all forms, offering an array of endless possibilities. I admire artists such as, Gustav Klimt and Picasso, Frida Kahlo, Georgia O’Keefe and Hilma af Klint, to name a few.
I love and connect to the spiritual writings of Rumï, the romantic poetry of Pablo Neruda and the profound writings of author, Clarissa Pinkola Esté - ‘Women Who Run With The Wolves’.
Outside of my artistic passions, I am fascinated with learning about the effects of planets and moons and how It all connects to our changing moods and emotions.
I look forward to continuing and evolving creatively, and the joy that comes with sharing it with Australia and the world.
